Horse

Dr. Heather Jones

Dr. Heather Jones was born in Florissant, MO and graduated from Winfield High School in Lincoln County, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri – Columbia and received a BS in Animal Science in 2000. Dr. Jones went on to graduate from the College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbia in 2005. Dr. Jones practiced in Anna, Illinois for 7 years and then in Fredericktown, Missouri for 4 years before coming to Perryville. Dr. Jones has experience working with dogs, cats, horses, livestock, and a variety of small mammals.

Dr. Jones has a menagerie of pets including dogs, cats, ferrets, geckos, fish, cattle, and horses. She enjoys spending time with her husband and animals as well as riding/driving her horses. Dr. Jones also enjoys watching Cardinals baseball and bowling.


Taylor Drum

Taylor was born in St. Charles, MO but she has lived most of her life right here in Perry County. She graduated from Perry County High School and received a BS in Agribusiness: Horticulture in 2015 from Southeast Missouri State University.

Taylor came to work at PCVH shortly after graduation and has been here since.

Taylor enjoys reading and gardening. She spends most of her free time with her husband, William, and young daughter, Ansley. She also tends to 4 cats and a three-legged dog named Laura.


Leah Kiefer

Leah was born in Fairfax, VA but grew up on her family’s farm in Perryville, MO. Raised around animals, she developed a lifelong love for all creatures, and a deep connection to rural life.

Homeschooled and graduating high school in 2014, Leah completed a course in veterinary medicine in 2015. She balanced working on the family farm, assisting with her dad’s construction business, training horses, and developing her artwork until 2021 when she joined an equine-focused veterinary clinic as an assistant. Through dedication and hands-on experience, Leah advanced to a veterinary technician role, specializing in equine reproduction and lameness.

Now proud to serve her hometown as part of the PCVH team, Leah brings practical farm experience, equine training skills, and veterinary expertise. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking with her two German Shepherds, spending time with family, riding/training her horses, and creating artwork.


Leah Constant

Leah was born in Altenburg, MO and was homeschooled. Leah was married in 2022 and moved back to the area. She now has 2 children and is a stay-at-home mom during the week.

Leah has worked in the veterinary field since she was 15 years old. She has a passion for horses and animals in general. Leah has a horse, 2 Great Pyrenees, and 4 cats. She loves trail riding with her husband and spending time with her children.

Leah became serious about photography in early 2025 and now runs a part time photography business.


Jeremy Jones

Jeremy was born in Los Angeles County California but grew up in Missouri graduating from Winfield High School in Lincoln County. He attended the University of Missouri – Columbia and received a BS in Biochemistry in 2001. Jeremy is currently employed at a local crime laboratory as a toxicologist and supervisor and helps around the clinic from time to time.

In his spare time, Jeremy enjoys golfing, studying and reading history, civil war reenacting, participating in local car shows and working out. He also enjoys watching Cardinals baseball with his wife, Dr. Heather Jones.
